i’ve done a few of these pieces, they’re basically abstract expressionism. and yeh, i know it’s been done before, but i do them when i can no longer re use an old canvas, so instead of throwing them, i paint over them and launch gloss, enamel and emulsions all over them. they’re also very theraputic to do. no brain power involved.
they’re really effective and eye catching. very hard to photograph though.
