I like this piece, it’s a little oil of Manchester Piccadilliy as if you’re walking down by the Central Library.

i’ve done a few of these pieces, they’re basically abstract expressionism. and yeh, i know it’s been done before, but i do them when i can no longer re use an old canvas, so instead of throwing them, i paint over them and launch gloss, enamel and emulsions all over them. they’re also very theraputic to do. no brain power involved.
they’re really effective and eye catching. very hard to photograph though.

This is another oil of Manchester. It’s a back street off Newton street where my sister and her bf live. I’ve not decided on a title yet. That’s the Arndale in the back drop.

I’ve been on a mission to capture the heart of Manchester as I see it. You wouldn’t believe how hard it is to expand your style. I’m trying to adopt a more expressionist method but it doesn’t seem to be happening. However, I am happy with the above piece..

The Island
this is something I painted from a book on ‘oceans’, I received for xmas. I had a big canvas and originally I painted it for myself. right now, i’m not sure what to do with it? i love it.

I play a lot myself. Thought it was about time I tried to capture a shot or two on canvas..I’m quite pleased with the outcome. This literally took 15 minute to paint.
